Mike is an experienced and dedicated hockey coach. He developed and implemented a free minor hockey initiative in Parry Sound that increased hockey enrolment in the community by 500%.
Mike offers high level hockey coaching, consulting and mentoring services. His services include on ice development and off-ice dry land training.

To this end, hockey organizations should provide an environment vigorous enough to challenge the most dedicated student athletes while still promoting a positive and fun family culture.
We offer clinics and sessions for both travel and JJ Development players that strike a balance between some serious skill development and game fun. Our goal is to develop a path for all players to advance in hockey, as far as they want to go.
HDA strives to make hockey available to marginalized youth across Canada, working to ensure a level playing field for all by promoting inclusion and eliminating racism in the sport of hockey at a grassroots level. This work includes partnerships with organizations that bring LGBTQ+, Indigenous and female representation to the game.

Mike has been a driving force behind 'Try Hockey for Free' in Parry Sound, increasing ice hockey enrolment by 500% in two seasons. He also hosts multi ethnic hockey development clinics to help kids of all ages learn the sport and address the issue of racism within the hockey community.
Operational Management: Assist with the day-to-day operations of the men's ice hockey program. This includes preparing practice plans, managing equipment inventory, coordinating team meals, travel arrangements and communicating with opposing teams' support staff. Responsible for scouting opponents and helping to break down game film for teaching purposes. Knowledge of scouting software such as InStat and Hudl preferred. Strong inter-personal skills to interact with coaches, player and alumni.
